A picture tells a thousand words. I think you cannot disagree with me that an ad with image is likely to be more effectively compared to chunk of plain text. The image can show a lot of things and more importantly, capture your attention.

Just scroll through your Facebook timeline. What usually catch your attention?

99%, if not 100% of the time, it is the image that catches your attention and makes you stop scrolling.

Even when you are surfing YouTube, video producers create specific video thumbnail just to catch your attention. You don’t really read through the titles of the videos at first glance.

So we cannot deny how important a good image can help you even in your internet business. Whether it is in your sales letter, blog post or on the various social media platforms.

What if I tell you that you can actually create your own professional images such Instagram images or Facebook Cover photo with just a few clicks for free?

Would you love to find out more?

Different types of images have different dimension requirements. This is when Canva is such an useful tool as they provide the dimension or at least the correct dimension ratio for you.

In addition, the best part is that there are already many template layouts available and you do not need to start designing from scratch.

Using the template, you can edit and design your own image.

For this post, I am choosing the Facebook Cover as an illustration.

As a start, I suggest that you choose a background image first before you start to edit the image. There is plenty of background images for you to choose to design your image.

Click on BKGROUND on the left and choose one background image to start.

Next, you can make use of the ELEMENTS field to add new or edit elements.

You also can edit the elements. The editing option will be on appear on the top left within the design panel. You can change the colour or flip the elements.

At any point of time, you can also choose to undo your last action. Press on your keyword CTL + Z or click on the UNDO icon on the top left.

Just make use of the free stuff. There is no need to get the premium icons or special graphics.

You can even also upload your own images!

If you make to change the position of the images, simply click on the POSITION and change the position of the image or to align it to the page.

Of course, you can also add text to your image. Click on TEXT on the left side and choose if you want to add a heading, subheading or body text.

You can edit the text font, colour and font size. The editing panel is at the top of your image.

After you are done with the editing and satisfied with what you have done, you can click on the DOWNLOAD or PUBLISH button located on the top right to save the image.

Depending on the type of graphics that you are creating, you can even publish them to the exact platform directly!

After you have saved the image, you can use it for your intended purpose.

Now, if you wish to edit the image again after exiting Canva, you can login again and go to YOUR DESIGNS.

Click on the graphic that you’ve designed earlier that you wish to edit and proceed.

I hope that you’ve benefited from this quick tutorial on how to use Canva to design and create professional images for your internet business.

Now, go and “play” with Canva now!

Talk to you soon!

Building Confidence In Your Internet Business

Do you sometimes feel like you just don’t have the bold confidence necessary to succeed in internet business? Maybe you need a boost in your internet business confidence, or maybe you are just getting started and need some extra confidence to take that first step. Here are some tips for building confidence in internet business.

Get Educated

One of the most important confidence-builders is knowing that you know what you know! You may have a lot of great internet business ideas but you don’t have the know-how to make it happen. Educate yourself about how to market your product or service – what is your competition? How can you reach your demographic? What kinds of advertising should you do?

You may need some nuts-and-bolts education, too – for example, how do you set up an effective website? You may need some practical knowledge to help you reach your goals.

There are many ways to educate yourself in business. You can hire a business coach to help you one-on-one. You can also download eBooks, sign up with boards and forums where business-savvy people congregate, and ask questions of successful people.

One of the most important factors that getting educated can help you to build your confidence is because you are also getting updated with the latest trends and changes in your industry.

This allows you to be able to stay ahead of the competition and be confident about your internet business and makes unlimited profits.

Get Focused

Getting educated is the key to getting focused. You really can’t boldly march forward if you don’t know what direction you’re going in. Take some time to focus on your internet business. What, exactly, are you doing? What do you want to do? Who is your target market or demographic?

If you have diverse interests, this can be difficult – but it’s even more necessary, because diverse interests can be distracting if you don’t focus on one at a time. So once you get yourself educated about your market and what you want to do, you can launch a focused business (or focus an existing one).

Staying focus helps you to understand your internet business more and let you be more efficient in managing your internet business.

More importantly, if you have invested in a program or training course, please stay focus on it and do not jump from product to product. You need to follow through with what you have invested and make full use of the product.

Don’t Compare Yourself to Others

We all know that businessman or woman – the one who has written ten books, has a dozen jobs, and has a perfect house. You may not be that kind of person, and such a schedule and goals are just not realistic for you. It’s really not advantageous to compare yourself to others. Set your own realistic standards and compare your progress against those.

Everyone has their own pace and unique environment. Don’t let that bring you down. Be confident in yourself.

Believe in Your Success

A lot of people swear by the power of positive thinking. It is said that visualizing your goals can attract the very things you need to reach your goals. Even if you don’t get into the visualization bit, you can benefit from believing in your internet business and your own competence.

Trust your instinct and believe in yourself. Being optimistic is definitely much better than a pessimistic.

Once you get confident, you will be much more likely to attract clients, which in turn will build your confidence. It’s a good cycle to get into and eventually leads to unlimited profits.

How To Build A Profitable Niche Site In 7 Steps

Are you ready to make money from niche marketing? Here is a quick step-by-step guide to help you get started.

Niche marketing is the business of promoting and selling a product or service to a specialized segment of a market.

Step 1: Start Brainstorming For Ideas

Brainstorm as many as twenty possible niches. In order to make the process more efficient, do not just rely on a single brainstorming session.

Carry a notebook with you so that whenever you have a new idea, you can jot it now immediately.

You will be surprised that ideas come to you when you are in the least likely places.

A lot of great ideas of famous marketers actually originated from the restroom.

You can also look on the internt for some ideas and check out Google Trends, Amazon Best Sellers and eBay Pulse to understand what is popular right now.

Step 2: Do A Thorough Research On Each Niche And Choose One.

Make use of the free Google Keyword Planner to check out how many people are looking for it.

Is there demand and what is the competition?

Based on your research, eliminate the poor ideas and narrow down your list.

Then, it is time to choose the niche that you want to go into. Compare the niches and choose one that is profitable and you are also interested or have knowledge in.

The market should also have enough traffic and not too competitive.

Step 3: Learn The Inside Out Of The Market

You may already have knowledge about the market but is it still good to increase your knowledge.

If you do not have any knowledge at all, then the more you should learn about it.

The best way is to read forums and blogs. Simply search for the “Your Market” + Forums / Blogs on the search engines. It will provide you with plently of websites to check out.

If there isn’t any forums or blogs available, you might want go back to step 2 and choose another niche.

Step 4: Choose A Domain Name And Web Hosting

Using the research that you had done earlier, make use of the keyword to decide on a domain name.

Alternatively, you can brand it to yourself and make use of your name and the keyword for the domain name.

You can get a free domain name when you use this web hosting provider. Click here to sign up for web hosting and domain name.

Step 5: Build Your Website

Make use of WordPress to build a simple website.

You can learn the steps here: http://www.ewenchia.com/how-to-start-a-wordpress-blog-on-bluehost/

Next, start writing at least 10 informative articles about the topic and post it on your website. This is to attract traffic and get your website ranked in search engines.

Step 6: Create A Killer Product And Sales Process

This may be the most difficult step in the process. But once it is done, you do not need to do it again.

Make sure that whatever you create is catering to the market that you are targeting and you should have a unique selling point in order to stand out.

If you only have the rough concept of the product and do not know how to start. You may want to consider to outsource the creation of the product to a third party.

Step 7: Define A Marketing Strategy And Execute It

Draw up a promotion plan and aim to adopt one paid and one free traffic method to market your product and website.

Focus on making these methods work for you before you test out other marketing tactics. The trick is always to be consistent in your promotion effort.

Always remember, if you do not promote your product, then nothing is going to happen.

These 7 steps walk you through every step of the process, from coming up with the idea to creating a profitable site.

I hope it is useful to you and ignite some sparks in your creative brain.

What Can You Learn From Samsung Exploding Phone And Washing Machine?

I had been using Samsung Galaxy Note series for some time and owned a Note 7 before exchanging it for another Samsung phone. To be honest, Note 7 is really a good phone but unfortunately, the battery is not well-made. For the past few months, Samsung, the largest business conglomerate in Korea has been making headlines for the wrong reasons. However, there is much to learn from this episode that can be applied to our online business.

1)            Branding and reputation

Samsung is the only other brand that can “fight” with Apple currently but with these 2 exploding products, it hurts Samsung branding very bad. The good news is that over the years, Samsung had built up a credible electronics brand and it is still the number 1 smartphone producer despite Note 7 woes (accordingly to a cnet.com report on 17 November 2016). Hence, your branding and reputation is very important whether you are doing an online or offline business. Always be ethical and make the right decision for your business even thought it might hurt your revenue.

2)            Diversify your market once your first business is profitable

Samsung itself does not just concentrate only on electronics sales. It has diversified its portfolio into shipping, medical service, financial service and many more.  However, without any doubt, the aim of venturing into these markets is to make money for Samsung. It is the same for your online business, once you are successful in your first market, you need to replicate your blueprint and develop other markets.  If you have a successful digital product, you can launch another product for sale. Rinse and repeat. Do not rely on just one source of revenue.

3)            Good Customer Service

Samsung offers exchange and refund to Note 7 users and also recalled all the affected washing machine. This is a bold and necessary step to minimize any potential harm to users. Samsung tries to offer exchanges and cash top up in order to keep their customers. Samsung even offer trade in for the unreleased Galaxy Note 8 in an attempt to retain Note 7 customers. So in your online business, how do you provide good customer service to your users and prospects? Listen to them and reply them.  If there is anything that you can improve your service, go ahead and do it. Good customer service will retain your customers and also make them buy from you again.

However, please do not promote any products that will explode or harm your customers. 😛

Secrets of Best Selling Headlines

I have made millions from selling digital products online and one of the success factors is attributed to headlines that are able to sell and draw the readers’ attention.

The attention span of any visitors to your website is very short and if the website’s headline does not capture the visitor’s attention, chances are that they are less likely to read the rest of your website or sales letter.

Hence, if your headline is able to capture the visitor’s attention and make them continue to read the rest of the sales copy, your conversion rate will be higher.

So what are the secrets of best selling headlines? In today post, I am going to reveal the “secrets” to you.

Secret #1 – BIG HEADLINE and relevant image

With a BIG HEADLINE and relevant image, it will capture the visitor’s attention and it will be able to either pre-frame the visitor’s mindset or interrupt the visitor’s pattern.  It helps to increase the conversion rate.

Secret #2 – Using Curiosity with the help of the 5 Ws and 1 H.

Who, what, when, where, why and how. Using the 5 Ws and 1 H is a good guide to help you write a bestselling headline.  Use the right keywords and benefits that the visitors will receive to hook them into reading the rest of the page.

Eg. Learn How Your Can Skyrocket Your Online Income Within 17 Days Using This Secret Trick!

Secret #3 – Solution-Theme format

Offering the solution in the headline to the problem that your reader is looking to solve will definitely increase their chances to continue to read the rest of the sales copy.

Eg. Discover How You Can Get Rid Of Your Stubborn Tummy Scars In Just 3 Simple Steps!

Secret #4 – Shocking news format

People just love news and this is basic human instinct. When your headline is like shocking news, it will hook the visitors and make them to continue to read further.

Eg. 14 Years Old Discovered a NEW Profit System Making $3,427.08 Overnight!

Secret #5 – Offering improvement

Instead of begin competitive, I prefer to say that we as human being, like to improve on what we have. That’s how the world keeps advancing forward. Offer the improvement as a key benefit to make your visitors continue to read the rest of the page.

Eg. Find Out How You Can Dominate The Search Result And Leave Your Competitors Behind.. FOREVER

Now, the BIGGEST “Secret” is to test your headline and tweak it. If you have the resources, it is best to do split testing to understand which headline is working for you. Tweak, test and repeat to get your bestselling headline today!

Best Of Both Worlds – Free Traffic VS Paid Traffic

Traffic is the main fuel for running your online business. Without traffic, your business will not be able to move forward and generate revenue.  There is mainly 2 main categories of traffic – Paid Traffic and Free Traffic.

I always encourage our students to master one paid traffic method and one free traffic method. Hence, you will be able to enjoy the best of both worlds. Please also note that the traffic methods are also dependent on the niche of your business. Different niche has a different reliable source of traffic.

In general, paid traffic means using money to get the traffic while free traffic means that you are required to do some “work” to drive the traffic.

Why do we encourage using both types of traffic? This is because for most of the time, paid traffic will be able to provide you with instant result. On the online world, speed is very crucial to your success. You’ll want to be able to test, tweak and maximize your website conversion as fast as possible. The result may be positive or negative but it allows you further fine-tune your website.  Free traffic tends to be slower and you may not be able to see the result immediately.  However, as you build up your free traffic, it will grow in momentum and continues to brings you traffic even when you stop doing activities that brings in the traffic. On the other hand, your paid traffic strategy will not work once you stop investing in it.

Here are some of the ways that you can get your traffic.

Free Traffic

  1. Social Media such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter.
  2. Forums
  3. Blogs
  4. Videos
  5. Basic SEO

Paid Traffic

  1. Per Per Click such as Google Adwords and Microsoft Bing Ads
  2. Social Media Ads such as Facebook Ads and Twitter Ads
  3. Banner Ads
  4. Emails Ads
  5. Native Ads

Now, let’s get going and get some traffic!

“7 Strategies To Create Great Content For Your Blog (And Why Pokemon GO Is One Such Strategy!)”

Lets talk about blogging!

Firstly, blogs have “evolved” over time. In the past, it gained popularity when many people started using blogs as their personal online journal. After that, it transited into a more organizational use and many people started using them for business purposes as well.

However, I feel that “real blogs” are meant to be more personal in both presentation and approach, with a less corporate feel…like this blog! :-)

blog-1027861_960_720Blogging is about sharing your passions and thoughts, and at the same time, monetizing the platform too so you can make money.  Hence, I usually encourage my students to use blogs as a platform to start their online business as it is simple, personal and very easy to start with.

However, it’s all about consistency and to be able to blog continuously is not an easy task. This is especially so if you’ve a day job and busy schedule.

You also need to ensure that what you’re blogging about have an impact. Meaning, it has a purpose, quality and hopefully, highly informational and educational.  Fact is, if your blog’s content is not too good, it just reflects negatively on yourself.

This is so important that I’ve decided to list down the SECRETS to always creating good, purposeful and informational content for your own blog…

Lets look at 7 simple strategies to do just that!

  • Reviews

You can do review type blog post. Most of the time, you will be doing a product review.

This can be applied to many things, from reviewing food which you commonly see on food blogs (which are very popular) to reviewing a movie you’ve just watched, to a software that you’re promoting. As you can tell, there are many different topics and options to choose from. Most importantly, talk about a topic you like and have a passion for!

Within the review post, you can summarize the overall benefits of the product and discuss what you like or dislike. You can also include thoughts about how the experience or product can be improved.

  • How To Tutorials

“How to tutorials” posts are very popular these days. This is because it can be very valuable to the readers, especially when they get to learn about a topic they are seeking information on.

arrow-1538699_960_720

“How to tutorials” posts usually provide step-by-step guidelines on how a topic works or how to do a specific task. For example, a post about how to upload website files onto the internet using FTP, or a post about how to use Excel.

Again, most times you can then recommend a relevant product or service (your own or affiliate product) as a complete solution to the readers. This way you get to monetize your content!

  • Videos

Another popular type of blog post content you can create is videos.

Video is simply another content format, which can sometimes be easier than writing and typing.

You can also record a personal video to discuss, comment about a topic or teach something. A good idea is to do a “how to video tutorial” instead which is more effective in terms of presentation than text.

For example, it can be an on screen capture type of video to do a specific task, or you speaking over a powerpoint presentation and recording it. Both methods can be done with software tools like Camtasia or Camstudio.

  • Personal Experiences

success-503509_960_720Share your own personal experiences are one of the best types of blog post you can create. Again, it can be very varied on different topics. Just be careful what you say though, especially if it’s something controversial or illegal.

What I’m recommending though is to share your personal experiences on an educational topic instead. For example, what I do is share my own internet business experiences, successes and mistakes so that others can learn too.

Sharing your personal experiences will also add a huge human touch to your blog and cultivate a deeper relationship with your readers.

  • Industry News And Articles

You can also blog about industry news and articles. This can easily be done by sharing news and content from authoritative websites in your niche, giving credit to the source at the end.

For example, if your business is about social media, you can look out for the latest updates on Facebook and share them with your readers. This saves people time and effort.

  • Other People’s Content

I know we’re all lazy so besides coming up with your own content, you can share other people’s content! This is very similar to the previous strategy but for this specific strategy, you would also want to add your own opinions and tips as an “add on”.

  • Current Trends

One of the most popular blogging strategy is to blog about current trends in your topic or niche. People get excited about trends and they also want to be updated constantly and always be “in the know”.

pokemon-1555036_960_720For instance, at the time of writing this post, people are crazy about “Pokemon GO”. Apart from the entertainment perspective, trends like these can lead to new industries and more businesses being created.

It’s already happening and there are many existing and new businesses leveraging on the trend now. For example, restaurants riding on the popularity by creating “Pokemon menus” and engaging real life actors to act as Pokemon characters in the restaurants, to attract players to come catch some Pokemons and dine at the same time (is that even possible??)

I’m also certain there are, or will be various informational products like “how to play Pokemon GO” type of ebooks and videos leveraging on the trend and making a lot of money.

Businesses and individuals are also riding on the trend by leveraging it as content, videos and more. The below is just a screenshot example of a website doing this:

Yes, I’m guilty of being in this trend too, on the entertainment side that is.

I hope you enjoyed, and most importantly, benefited from this content.

Now go and create your next great blog post!
