How To Start A WordPress Blog On Bluehost

Today, I’ll be sharing with you how you can start a WordPress Blog on Bluehost quickly and easily.

First, why do you want to start a blog? Blogging is one of the easiest ways to start making money from the internet and you can easily start a blog for just a few dollars a month.

You will be able to blog from anywhere as long as you have access to a laptop and stable internet connection. In addition, you can blog about your hobbies or interests and be able to earn money.

Here is a quick tutorial guide on how you can start a WordPress blog on Bluehost.

First, to own and build any website, you will need at least a domain name and webhosting.

I highly recommend you to use Bluehost. Bluehost is one of the top web hosting companies and offers one of the best technical support should you encounter any.

Bluehost is extremely affordable and you can start from just $3.95USD a month.

GOOD NEWS! If you are getting the web hosting from Bluehost for the first time, you’ll also get FREE domain name. Hence, you are able to save up to $15USD!

Step 1: Go here to secure your web hosting account and FREE domain name. Click on the green button “Get Started Now”.

Step 2: Select the plan that you are interested in. I highly recommend you to get the “Plus” plan so that you are able to host unlimited websites and domain names in the future. If not, start with the “Basic” plan.

Step 3: Enter the domain name that you are interested OR you can sign up for a name.

Step 4: Enter your personal and payment information.

Step 5: Enter your desired password. Make sure you follow the instructions on the screen.

Step 6: Get ready to install WordPress.

Installing WordPress on Bluehost is easy and it is FREE.

After you have successfully purchased your domain name and web hosting from Bluehost, go to your email inbox to look for the Welcome Email from Bluehost. This email will provide you with the necessary details to access your cPanel.

You need to login to your cPanel to install WordPress. Don’t worry, it is really easy to do that.

Once you are in your cPanel, you will be able to see a icon with “One Click Install”.

Then, click on the WordPress icon on the next page located under “Blogs”.

Click on the “Start” button and start the installation.

Next, you need to choose the domain that you want to install the WordPress on. You can use the dropdown menu to select the domain that you want to use. If you are starting out, you should only see the domain name that you just secured.

Then, you’ll need to decide on the username and password for the accessing your WordPress dashboard. Please also provide a valid email address as any updates will be notified to you via this email address.

Just check the box on “Automatically create a new database for this installation” and then click “Install Now”.

DONE!

You have just successfully installed a WordPress blog and can now start to blog! (You can ignore the Step 2 of designing your site for now.)

First, login to your WordPress dashboard. Your login URL is usually http://YOURDOMAIN.com/wp-admin

Once you have entered into the WordPress dashboard, you can start to design and post on your blog.

You may want to decide on the layout of your blog first by going to “Appearance,” and then “Themes” to select your preferred look of your blog.

Next, you can make use of “Widgets” in order to add items to your sidebar, footer, and many more.

Start posting by clicking on “Posts” on the left-hand side and I highly recommend that you start of with a welcome post to introduce yourself and welcoming your visitors.

Now, the key is to be able to blog consistently and then starts to recommend products that your readers are interested in. Moving forward, you can also place banner ads to increase your source of online income.
