First, go to https://www.Canva.com to sign up for a free account.

Just choose personal use which is the last option.

Follow the instructions and then once you have successfully registered for an account, login to the tool. After that, you can see that there is a preset of templates.

You can search for the templates on the search bar or scroll through the Create A Design segment.

Yes, that’s right. You can virtually create any kind of images. You can also make use of the custom dimensions to create a custom size image.

Different types of images have different dimension requirements. This is when Canva is such an useful tool as they provide the dimension or at least the correct dimension ratio for you.

In addition, the best part is that there are already many template layouts available and you do not need to start designing from scratch.

Using the template, you can edit and design your own image.

For this post, I am choosing the Facebook Cover as an illustration.

As a start, I suggest that you choose a background image first before you start to edit the image. There is plenty of background images for you to choose to design your image.

Click on BKGROUND on the left and choose one background image to start.

Next, you can make use of the ELEMENTS field to add new or edit elements.

You also can edit the elements. The editing option will be on appear on the top left within the design panel. You can change the colour or flip the elements.

At any point of time, you can also choose to undo your last action. Press on your keyword CTL + Z or click on the UNDO icon on the top left.

Article marketing is one of the easiest free traffic method. Remember that content is the king on the internet and people are always demanding for content.

However, please provide quality content so that your readers will benefit from it and go to your website again and again.

So how does article marketing works? Let’s go over a broad overview of the basics.

Article marketing refers to the writing of article and then distributing it on the internet with a link back to your website.

It actually involves a bit of branding, SEO and content syndication.

The content itself is very important and if you are able to write well and do it correctly, it can help to consistently bring traffic to your website for a long time.

In addition, if your website is a content website such as a blog, it will be getting more backlinks and it helps in the ranking in search engines.

So why do you want to put articles on other people’s sites in the first place?

When you first started out, your website is probably very new and do not have much content and reputation. They are also not going to be ranked in the first few pages of the search engines.

Putting your articles on other people’s sites and then linking back to your own website can leverage on the site’s traffic.

In addition, you are also building backlinks in the process which slowly help to increase the ranking of your website.

Ultimately, you want visitors to visit your website.

So when someone reads the article on other people’s site and find that your content or idea is interesting, he may be enticed to visit your website. So after reading the article, he will click on the link that you had provided earlier and visit your website!

In order to do this, start of with finding your keywords and include them in your title.

The keyword should also be carefully chosen in order to maximize search engine traffic.

Next, start writing the article. Do your research and write at least 400 words. But please do not write too long as most readers on the internet do not like lengthy content. The attention span is reducing every second he spends reading the article.

Basically, geo-tagging is where you put metadata in your HTML code. This lets the search engine spiders know where your site is located. You can do the same for pictures you put on your site. This will help you rank for localized searches.

The metadata includes your latitude and longitude coordinates, and sometimes other variables like altitude. If somebody is doing a search with geotagging enabled, your site might show up.

While geo-tagging does work, you can definitely rank without doing it. However, there’s no reason not to use it, as it definitely couldn’t hurt.

3) Social Media

This is an era of social media. Having a social media presence must not be neglected. More importantly, it is free to start and only cost you time and energy.

Firstly, let’s start off by going to your Ad manager. From here you can click on the Ad that you are looking for. Seeing as we are making Youtube Ads, you can select the video option.

After this, you will be brought to the next page.

From here, you will now put the groundwork that will go into your Ad. In this page, you will put the settings that would allow you to your Ad work the way it should.

The first filed is the name of the campaign, this should be quite self explanatory, just key in the name of the campaign. You can call it whatever you like.

After this, you will now set the type of video Ad that you would like. The easiest way for you to have your Ad running is to use the standard setting. However, if you would like to promote an app, or some Ecommerce item, you will be able to use the other two options.

Now you will have to choose between In-stream or video discovery Ads or Bumper Ads, if you need a refresher for what these terms are, you can always refer to the previous article here.
From here, you will choose the CPM and the CPV cost of your Ad. If you would like a better explanation of these terms, you can refer to this article here.

You can manually bid for Advertisers to show your Ad, or you can do it automatically.

Manual bidding is better if you would like to keep your costs low, or if you have a good idea of what you are doing as is. If you’re new, you can always start off with automatic bidding on other forms of Ads, but for Youtube you can only bid for Ads manually.

Before you proceed to the next page, take a look at the Advanced Delivery Methods tab. Under this submenu you can set your delivery method, targeted locations and networks.

One thing to note is that you will have to target your local area if you are running a brick and mortar business, or if you are offering services in an area.

There are a few other options, but we can ignore these for now, you can always learn more about them if you like at a later date.

In the next page, you can set the video that you would like to use as the Ad, and the bidding amount. Another feature of Google Adwords for Youtube is the ability for you to set a higher bid from your current bid for popular videos. A higher bid here would encourage people to use your Ad more often for popular videos. And a higher bid overall would make it possible for more people to see your Ad.

Targeting

Another key factor in the success of your Ad is it’s targeting. You will need to know how you can make your Advertising capable of reaching the right audience.

Without the proper targeting, your Ad will not be of much use. Before you target your audience, you will need to know what you can do with the Ad targeting.

Demographics and Interests

The two main settings that you can Adjust are the demographics and the interests that you will be targeting. With the many choices available, you will need to think long and hard about the methods that you can use in order to reach your audience.

You can consider the general demographics first. Who will view your Ad? If you’re selling makeup you will definitely target women from 18 to 40, and if you are selling gym equipment you would target men from 18 to 40 too.

Secondly, you can target the actual interest group that would be interested in your products. You can either choose from a list or search for an interest that you would like to use.

Examples

We came up with a few possible scenarios that you may be able to refer in order to get your Add off the ground. For Example, you can use the Sports and Fitness interest to promote a weight loss product, or an exercise guide to men from 18- 40. Alternatively you can promote a weight loss guide under Beauty and Wellness, to women between the ages of 18 – 40.

Youtube is the largest video sharing platform on the internet right now, and is constantly ranked in the top 5 websites visited on the internet. In this category, you may have a few choices that you may use in order to promote your product or link.
You can consider having a 6 second Ad at the start of a video. These Ads are completely non skippable and are probably the most obtrusive and annoying Ad that you can have on a single Youtube video Ad.

The second option is an In Stream Ad, such Ads can be placed anywhere on the video, and can be skipped after five seconds of waiting. The benefit of using such Ads are the extended Ad length and the ability have the Ad placed in any point of the video.
