From: Ewen Chia
Dear valued subscriber,
I'm hardly psychic but I can be sure of one thing...
YOU would love to start receiving big commissions from affiliate programs day in and out!
Affiliate marketing is truly one of the most powerful and easiest models online to generate massive cash quickly, fact is you can get started in minutes from now without the hassle of creating your own products or websites.
Pay serious attention to every word here as this is all about...
YOUR Empowerment As An Affiliate Marketer!
Let me explain.
While there're many factors to consider in the affiliate marketing business, one of the most critical questions I get everytime (from newer marketers) is always...
"Ewen, How Do I Promote My Affiliate Link???"
Ok, I hear you. This report is meant to address that question.
Now there're many ways to promote a product, but what I'd like to do is walk you through a couple of easy tips you can apply immediately to get those affiliate commissions coming in fast.
It's not rocket science and you've probably heard of them before. However knowledge is power only when applied, so my question is, are you applying them?
If you are, good. If not, this quick checklist will help in whatever way it can.
Before we begin, I want to point out that this is not meant to be a detailed and advance study of affiliate marketing...
I created this as a series of quick tips to help those who are new to affiliate marketing (we've all been there before).
With that in mind, let us start...
==> Affiliate Tactic #1: Your Own Opt-In List
If you've your own existing opt-in list this would obviously be the the quickest way to start. However I'd like to provide you with some ideas to maximize the response and results you wouldn't otherwise get if you never applied them.
It's always a good tactic to provide some kind of time-sensitive bonuses to entice your list to buy through your affiliate link. It has always work and it'll continue to work.
You should also do at least 3 follow-up mailings as statistics have proven that you will get the most sales from your 2nd and 3rd mailings.
Next, you'd want to presell not hard sell directly through your email. The most powerful method of doing that is to either 1. combine content with the pitch, or 2. write about how you, or someone else have directly benefited from the product (you can also use testimonials from the product copy).
It's also a good idea not to use the same affiliate solo ad. The biggest response is in writing your own personal endorsements and being different in your marketing.
You may also use curiosity or stories to generate click throughs and just let the sales letter do the selling.
Now what if you don't have your own list to begin with?
The most logical action would be to seriously consider building your own money-making list without delay (here's the best course to do it) or alternatively a 'second-rate' method is to use...
==> Affiliate Tactic #2: Other People's Lists
What do I mean by this?
One quick method to leverage on someone else's list is through ezine advertising, particularly with solo ads (joint ventures will not be appropriate if you're an affiliate).
A solo ad is an independent advertisement you can buy in ezines and they normally allow between 300-600 words for your ad copy. It's good because your ad is given the attention it needs and not cluttered with dozens of other ads in the same publication. While short classified ads are available at a cheaper rate, they will not provide the same response as a solo ad.
As in all kinds of advertising, what you want to do besides advertising the affiliate program is also to build your own list. A simple way to do this WHILE promoting the affiliate program is by using a catchy one-two sentence signature file after your name. While I don't fully recommend this approach as it diverts attention, it's something you can do.
An important factor to consider with ezine advertising is to ensure that the audience is targeted to your offer. Yet another 'trick' is to invest in more than one ad in the SAME ezine with the same ad as it gives you more visibility, recall and mindshare. You can also employ follow-up tactics in a similar way.
The best advertising you can get is to pre-qualified targeted lists of like-minded people, especially people with money in hand. While these are rare and even harder to identify, I believe my friend Andrew Fox has created a powerful resource here.
==> Affiliate Tactic #3: Google AdWords You can start promoting any affiliate program in less than 15 minutes with pay-per-click advertising, especially Goolge AdWords (since it's the biggest now). However since Jan 6th, there had
been some major changes to Google's policies regarding advertising of
affiliate products on Google AdWords. For example, one of these states
that your ad gets displayed based on its Ad Rank for given searches,
determined by a combination of maximum cost-per-click and click through
rate. Starting with Google AdWords is just $5 and it's as fast as it gets. To begin, you'll need to set up a free account at http://adwords.google.com. As I've provided in detail exactly how you can set up your campaigns with AdWords (with some sneaky 'tricks' too) in "Striking Affiliate Gold", I won't repeat it here... To download a copy of the manual, right click here. Now while Google Adwords is the biggest pay-per-click search engine, you shouldn't neglect others like overture.com, findwhat.com, 7search.com etc. In fact they may offer you a better return on investment!
==> Affiliate Tactic #4: Article Marketing Ok, this one is just something you got to get started on - because it works. I've made tons of affiliate sales purely from articles. In fact, one of my articles generated over 25 affiliate sales in a little over 3 days on autopilot. It's that easy. Now, the key to successful article writing is to provide real information and tips. Make sure it doesn't sound like an outright sales pitch. Any recommendations you make should be added value to the article. The recommendation should not be its main purpose. Some marketers say to never put your recommendation or what you are selling in the body of your article. They say it belongs in your byline... Guess what? I disagree. People will read your article, but they don't always read the byline. They are just grateful to get good information. As long as you write a highly informative article, your recommendation certainly has a place within the article itself. As in the previous case, I won't be repeating information I've already covered. So if you're interested in using articles as an affiliate promotional weapon, download this 'article marketing toolkit' consisting of two reports I've written: "The Lazy Person's Secret Guide To Writing Articles!"
==> Affiliate Tactic #5: Leverage On Your Existing Web Pages There're 3 main ways to go about doing this... One is to simply promote your affiliate programs on highly trafficked and relevant pages of your website. Check your website statistics to see which pages visitors view the most. These are great target areas for your promotions, especially if they are relevant to the affiliate product in question. Two, recommend affiliate products on your thank you pages. After a visitor has made a purchase from you or sign up for your ezine, all you've to do is add in a short recommendation of an affiliate product prominently on the thank you page. Look, they will leave your site anyway so this is a good chance to get them onto your affiliate link instead of elsewhere. Third, use your custom error (404) pages as affiliate marketing tools. This is the page that shows up when visitors enter a wrong URL or extension, there's no point in wasting this space so why not use it to promote an affiliate product?
==> Affiliate Tactic #6: Capture Exit Traffic On Demand You can quickly make extra affiliate sales just by using an exit window or pop up window to promote your affiliate programs. While there're popup killers out there, you'll be surprised just how many percent of people actually install them - I don't. Fact is, pop ups, especially exit pop ups still produce good results. Stick with one tasteful pop-up targeted to your visitors and you’ll see great results. Wait, here's a quick marketing test... Turn off your pop up killer (if you have it installed) and visit the websites of as many 'famous' marketers as you know.
Most, if not all, are still using pop ups! Why would this be the case if they don't work? Go figure.
==> Affiliate Tactic #7: Other Quick And Simple Tips
Recommend affiliate products in your 'thank you emails'.
This is a no-brainer, whether you’re saying thanks for joining your ezine or for buying a product, always give your email recipients an affiliate recommendation for a targeted product you've personally found useful.
This is the perfect opportunity for a backend affiliate sale. Now this is as primitive as it gets...promote affiliate products in your signature file, especially if you frequent and post in high trafficked forums. A powerful way of doing this is to simply post useful advice and content with a relevant affiliate link in your signature. You can create autoresponder courses (ecourses) on topics related to the affiliate program you're promoting as a form of follow-up preselling. Add in great information about the topic and subtly promote the product at the end of, or within, your follow-up lessons. You can deliver the course every day for a certain period, once a week or whatever frequency you choose. That's it for now and I hope this report has been useful to you. Go profit... The 'Midas Touch' is Yours!
PS. I may be bias but one of the easiest and most profitable programs you can promote is at UnlockYourEmpire.com. For a limited time, we're paying more than 90% commissions which is unheard of in the internet marketing world.
